Present Simple is the name for the tense (tense means what verb form we need, present, future or past) we use to talk about the present (now or around now).
 
 
The Present Simple tense is very easy to use. When you learn any verb in English, the basic form of this verb in the Present Simple form so you can use it straight away.
 
 
Every time you learn a new verb, try to make a sentence with it in the present tense so that you remember it better.

We use PRESENT SIMPLE to talk about things which are true in the present.

 

I live in London.

I teach in a primary school.

I’m a teacher. My sister works in an office.

NOTE: We say: I drink, you go, they like but for he/she/ it we add +s= he likes, she drinks, it goes.

 

NOTE: we use always, often, usually, sometimes and never to show how often something happens.
