How’d Kali Blackstorm got into writing?
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Start as early as you can
Technically Kali Backstrom has been writing since elementary school! She can’t speak to what five years old she was thinking when she started writing or why she bothered anyone she could find with her Pirate Stories. But she did, and she wasn’t discouraged when people didn’t like her stories, and she’ll admit years old she could’ve used an editor.
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Telling stories as much as you can
Why Kali Blackstorm kept up writing, is because she loves telling stories. When she goes camping, she likes to be at the fireside sharing stories. In class she can’t wait to build essays whether they are fictional or argumentative, she has a desire to put pen to paper.
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Hearing stories as many as you like it
Kali Blackstorm love hearing stories too. She likes to see how others construct worlds, and She is curious to know how our society has affected them. She wants to see the differing opinions in our world, and it can be the simplest things from someone’s hatred of mint chocolate chip to someone disgust of cilantro. Things like that make her curious, in all honesty, every opinion you have ever shaped in your life piques my interest. Because every understanding you have developed is a part of your story! And in this world, we all have a story to tell, yet a lot of us don’t know how to say it, and she wants to bridge that gap. She wants to make sure everyone is heard, felt, and known.
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Writing stories as much as you can
For Kali Blackstorm, writing is about creating a world that everyone can see themselves in, but also a world where a reader can see the ugly and neglect of society. Her writing tips draw inspiration from Dark Romanticism and Transcendentalism, which may sound strange, but they do have overlapping principles. Dark Romanticism believes that the individual is inherently drawn to evil, whereas Transcendentalism thinks that the individual would be drawn to good if it wasn’t for the political structures we have built. A lot of my writings asks if the individuals make up society is it not the individuals’ responsibility for society? My writings also play with philosophical questions and principals by presenting differing morality questions.
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Get better at understanding other people’s feelings and thoughts
Kali Blackstorm couldn’t see herself doing anything else besides writing. Writing to her is the ultimate human connection. It’s where anyone can see themselves, be themselves, share themselves, and it is the job of the writer to create worlds, no matter how fictional, that is tangible, so that real people may see themselves our stories. And when She meet people in real life She wants to know them, She wants to hear them, and She wants to understand who they are. She wants to know you! Tell her your story, and She’ll hear you, and no matter how much pain you’ve endured or how much joy you’ve felt, She will ensure that you see that emotion in her writing so that others can understand your feelings too.
Kali Blackstorm’s Writing Tips – Do what you love
Kali Blackstorm writes because there are countless theories this world has created, countless people too, and no story deserves to be put on the shelf, just because it seems too hard to write or too intangible to believe. She writes to tell your story.
