What Is the Present Tense?
The present tense is used to describe a current activity or state of being. It is a verb tense used to describe current events or states of being.
They are 4 types of present tense
simple present tense
In the simple present, we talk about what is happening right now, as well as our habitual actions and occurrences.
eg: I play tennis.
present_progressive tense
The present progressive tense is used when an action is ongoing in the present.
eg: I am playing tennis.
present perfect tense
In the present perfect tense, an action or state occurred at an indefinite time in the past, or began in the past and continues today.
eg: I have played tennis.
present perfect progressive
Known also as the present perfect progressive tense, the present perfect continuous shows that something has begun in the past but is continuing at present.
eg: I have been playing tennis.
