US, UK, Australia, and Switzerland have no restrictions on holding dual nationality, whereas Singapore, Austria, India, and Saudi Arabia do not recognize dual citizenship, leading to the automatic loss of citizenship upon acquiring other.

The Constitution of India does not permit holding Indian citizenship and citizenship of a foreign country simultaneously. The Government of India has now enacted laws to grant Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI), commonly known as Dual Citizenship.

The Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) is an immigration status permitting a foreign citizen of Indian origin to live and work in the Republic of India indefinitely. It is beneficial to Indian Diaspora, particularly in developed countries.
