Life Retires In Rest House

Life is chocolate tea

on rosy bed

eddy in Magpie cup

sipping hemlock lips

Bride in agony

keeps teeth set

of wrinkled groom

under pillow on Eros’ bow

where a beau plays violin

in heart of his beloved in rainbow

Telephone rings in room

with stream of songs

galvanized from switch

of teeth life runs without

pause from station of each

breath to chimney

slaughter house

parliament

hospital

then retires in rest house

Word notes:

Eddy: a circular movement of water

causing a small whirlpool

Magpie cup: Mug cup of a company

Hemlock lips: poisonous lips

Eros’ bow: A bow of illusion that fires arrows which can confuse their target

Chastise Zeny

Who brings needles and knives

to puncture bike and

pigeon’s eyes

Chastise Zeny!

tis not you

deplucked

feathers?

Formalin soaked frog

whom you crucified

with pins

Your scissors cut

red apple slices

in plate

Chide Zeny!

tis not you burnt

tip of your thumb

held a burning coal?

you called me

rabbit mouth

I fastened it

like a ball

dog fishes have a fight

in your mind

and galaxy of

earthworms

torn in disdain

and distress

rebuke Zeny!

tis not you

tried to grab

the burning earthen

pot cracker?

that was waking up

like sparkling snake

you call me rabbit mouth

fastened it like a ball

Swear by statue of king

your protean face

makes you

Alter – ego!

flying fume

says a tale

I am in

Paradise

no worry

about man

I light enjoy it

best friend

dwells up

to the last

puff

I kiss it

ever smoke

How satisfaction

How relief what is

lovely time to enjoy it?

Now I know

a friend who helps

one to all events

What is an

eve being proudy

I crush burning cigar

under foot after smoking

considering an eve I crush

the proud but I kiss I weep for ash.

Wait

When you write epistles

in myriad rosy petals

smacked with dews

yawning mermaid

flitters kisses

through lips

of hearty box

unposted

a few

In taza of thy heart

oscillate daffodils

where sinks

a lonely star

in goblet

kindling

in woes

Even God goes to Canossa

when you feel alienated from me

or feel the agony of Jeremiad

I take the cudgel to make my

Muskurata Chehara

Unaki yadau ko sanjoy ke

rakha tha dil mein

aaj toota hua dil

bikhara pada hai unke perau tale

dost tuta hua aina hein

jo jodoge jud na payega

gar joda bhi to darar ka

nishan pad jayega

jo tumhe kabhi na bhul payega

na bhul payega

————– Translation ———–

Smiling Face

Secured her memories

in heart

today broken heart

lied scattered in fragments

under her feet

Pal tis broken mirror fragments

that you ‘ll join couldn’t be joined

if joined also then emerged

cracking marks in affixed sheet

but a smiling face

appeared in fragments of mirror sheet

that will never forget you

will never forget you.
